How the Product Works:
This kit allows you to transform raw lead wire into custom airgun slugs through the swaging process. By feeding the lead wire into the S-Press equipped with one of the Airgun Slug Dies and applying the appropriate pressure, you can form slugs with precise dimensions and grain weights. The Corbin Precision Core Cutter ensures uniform core lengths, the starting place for the swaging process.
Step-by-Step Guide to Using the Corbin S-Press Airgun Slug Kit:
- Set Up the S-Press: Secure the S-Press to a stable work surface, ensuring it is properly calibrated for your desired slug specifications.

Prepare the Die: Install the Hollow Point Dish Base 2S Airgun Slug Die into the press, selecting the appropriate base punch to achieve your desired slug base shape.
- If you purchased the Hollow Ogive Kit, you will need to first install the core swaging cylindrical die. to make your preformed core.
- Cut Lead Wire: Use the Corbin Precision Core Cutter to cut the lead wire to the desired grain weight (preferably 3-5 grains over) ensuring consistency for uniform slug weights.
- Lubricate: Apply a small amount of Corbin Swage Lube to the lead wire to reduce friction during the swaging process. This should be no more than a thin flim.
- Swage the Slug: Place the lubricated lead core into the die and operate the press to form the slug, following the guidelines provided in the instructional materials. The press will automatically eject the slug as the handle is returned to its stowed position.

Inspect and Collect: Remove the formed slugs from the die, inspect for quality, and store them safely for use.
- For the Hollow Ogive die set, repeat steps 2, 4, 5, and 6 using the point forming die. This will make a Hollow Ogive style airgun slug.

This flexibility allows you to create custom slugs tailored to your specific airgun's requirements. All you need after purchasing this kit, is to place an order for additional die sets (standard or custom) to continue your journey towards precision.
The kit offers a single base shape but you can always purchase more base shapes, including flat base, shallow concave (dish base), cup base, hollow base, and rebated boattail. By selecting different base punches, you can adjust the center of mass of your projectile, as well as adjust the center of pressure to iterate your design and create the perfect projectile for your application.
In addition to the Corbin S-Press Airgun Slug Kit, nothing. The lead and slicer will help you produce the initial cores that will create your first projectiles. After a while you might want to transition to our pre-cut cores to simplify your projectile production, but as long as you have lead with this kit you can make slugs.
